Visit Serendipity Springs

Want some “magical” pie?

Up for some virtual travel? Go to downstate Illinois and visit Serendipity Springs, where the people are kind (mostly) and some are quirky. Visit the Diner and sample Lizzie’s “magical” pie.

Got a taste for something more upscale? Transplanted New York chef Leslie opened the Night-Heron at the Serendipity Inn.

The sidewalks of Serendipity Springs are great to walk, especially if you have a dog. You might run into Emma and her Boston Terrier, Petunia, and Russ with his now pal, Doofus.

Got a big event coming up? Tessa can fix you up with the latest style in her boutique. Joan, Emma’s right-hand person, visits the boutique often. It’s where she buys her mile-high stilettos.

Car trouble? Russ’ Garage is right on Main Street and he can work wonders. He and his fellow mechanics Tom and BJ can fix just about any problem your auto may have.

Need some accounting work done? Emma Logan is your accountant.

Oh yeah. Russ and Emma? They’re an item.

Who’s the bad apple?

But isn’t this a mystery series? Doesn’t that mean that there’s crime? And at least one murderer? Yup. There’s a bad apple in every bushel, right? Just because it’s a small town doesn’t mean there aren’t lots of bushels. It keeps life interesting.

The first two books in the fun Serendipity Springs series are available now.

Accounting for Arson

The first in the series. Serendipity Springs is the kind of small town you’d love to live in. Unless it kills you. Russ’ new business is at risk when the previous owner is found dead on the garage floor after a fire. Did Russ do him in? How will Emma handle it when her boyfriend is accused? Who really killed Leland? And are Emma and Russ next?

Accounting for Bribery

Emma finds a local real estate developer dead at his construction site. She uncovers a web of greed, corruption and secrets. Can she untangle the mess before the killer gets her?

About Serendipity Springs

The town is the product of Fran’s over-active imagination. It’s the ideal small town of her dreams. Where anyone is welcome and can put down roots if they’re so inclined. The skies are blue and the days are mostly mild and great for walking. If you have different ideas, no one will scold you or make you feel uncomfortable. If your ideas are different than the town’s norms, the other residents will just take you for … well, different. And that’s okay.
